Ms. Bernice Brice

Ms. Bernice Brice departed this world on January 4, 2021, after living a blessed 90 years.
She was born in Kingsport, TN on September 24, 1930. She graduated from Douglas School and was a star member of the Douglas Tigerettes basketball team. At the time of her death, she was the oldest living member of Shiloh Baptist Church, where she previously served as a Sunday school teacher, member of the usher board, and member of the Annie Hickman club.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Maria Bradley; grandmother, Marion Davis; brothers, Edward Deal, James Deal, and Leroy Bradley; son, Michael Brice; grandsons, Bradley Brice and Jarrett Hughes; granddaughter, Tyonna Brice; and great-granddaughter, Amira Russell.
Survivors include her children, Donna Brice, Marian Brice, Jacqueline Brice, and Charlotte Brice; grandchildren, Melyssia Brice, Melynda (Donavon) Hall, Monique Henry, Ayonna (Aaron) Love, Tyler Henry, Sentel (Ashlee) Brice, and Michael Brice; great-grandchildren, Quanté Brice, Briasha Russell, Khaliah Brice, Kensley Henry, King Russell, Kaylee Henry, Erynn Love, Prince Russell, D'aron Hall, Zari Brice, Kasella Henry, and Mela Brice; devoted nephew, James (Tina) Deal; niece, Charlene Edwards; as well as a host of others who loved her and called her "Momma Bernice."
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 8, 2021, at 1:00 pm from Shiloh Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm until the hour of service. Burial will follow at Old Kingsport Presbyterian Cemetery.
