Mr. Thomas L. Washington

Thomas Leonard Washington was born September 7, 1951, in Bristol Virginia to Oscar Washington and Anna Mae Washington. He had nine siblings James Washington, Diana Hale (deceased), Kenneth Washington, Katherine Harrington, Jennifer Washington (deceased), Cynthia Hounshell (deceased), Donald Washington, and Ada Washington as well as several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He had six children Lynn Lovell, Christopher Washington, Arman Washington, Antoine Washington, Deanishia Washington, and Danton Washington; stepchildren, Beatrice Foster, Sherell Sowho, and Daniel Brooks; grandchildren, Billy Lovell, Brandon Lovell, Brittney Vandivier, Tanna Scott, Shawn Gallegos, Klynn Washington, Imarion Washington, Olivia Hines, Isiah Hines, Jacques Washington, Desean Washington, Janelle Washington, Holli Brooks, and Malakiyah Foster, Parker Brooks, as well as several great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Vanessa Washington.

Thomas enlisted in the United States Air Force and served in Vietnam as a paramedic. He was a director with Veteran Affairs for several years before pursuing other passions. He has a devoted father, and husband and enjoyed spending time with his wife, family, and friends.

He was an avid sports fan and loved the Washington Redskins. He was the life of the party and had a larger-than-life personality. He made friends anywhere he went. He always put Christ first and was a man of God.

The family will receive friends Monday, September 13, 2021, at 5:00 pm from R.A. Clark Funeral Home. Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at 11:00 am from the VA National Cemetery, Mt. Home, TN. The cortege will depart the funeral home at 10:00 am.
