Georgette Leona Hale was born in Kingsport, TN November 3, 1969, to Sharon Hale Comage and Don Juan Simonton. She lived in Castlewood, VA for a brief time, but her formative educational years were spent in Kingsport, graduating from Dobyns-Bennett High School. She lived in various states in her lifetime but returned to Kingsport, where she spent most of her life.
Georgette accepted the Lord as her personal Savior and talked about His goodness. Although, her health was challenged due to her battle with diabetes, the love she had for Christ never faded. Through it all, she still continued to praise His Name.
As her journey on this earth began to wind down, Georgette continued to fight the good fight. Unfortunately, her work on this earth was done, so God let her rest from her labors the morning of Wednesday, May 1, 2019.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Violet Davis and James Hale; paternal grandparents, James and Millie Simonton; aunt, Conchita Simonton Machen; cousin, Ashley Machen; and uncle, William David Hale.
Georgette leaves to cherish her memory children, Don Juan Hale (April), and Charity Vanessa Hale Mosely; grandchildren, Kimora and Malani; mother, Sharon Hale Comage; father, Don Juan Simonton (Nancy); brothers, William and Jermaine Talford; aunts, Virginia Diane Long, Deborah Hale, Caron Hale, Vickie Hale Brown (Theodore); uncles, James Hale, Ralph Hale, Robert Hale (Sharon), Terry Hale, James Simonton, Jr., Tanzy Simonton; as well as a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
Services for Ms. Hale will be conducted Friday, May 3, 2019 at 1 pm from Clark Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA.
