Darlene Patrice Hill was born October 26, 1961, in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Arthur L. Hill Sr. and Shirley J. Hill. She passed away peacefully October 29, 2018, in Abingdon, Virginia at Abingdon Health and Rehab.
She is survived by two sons, Jeremy Lamar Hill of Sevierville, Tennessee and Zachary Tyler Hill of Glade Spring, Virginia.
Darlene is the sixth of eight children and one foster-brother. Darlene Hill graduated from Virginia High School in Bristol, Virginia in 1980 and attended St. Augustine College in Raleigh, North Carolina. Darlene wrote a short story titled "The Fundraiser" published by Virginia Highlands Community College and was also in the process of writing a novel called Seek My Face and Not My Hand.
Darlene battled with breast cancer since 2009 and was a passionate breast cancer awareness supporter.
