Mrs. Frances A. Hunt

Mrs. Frances A. (Mama Fran) Hunt, 100, 219 Jefferson Drive, walked The Stairway to Heaven with her family near by Friday morning January 26, 2018 after a lengthy illness. Frances at an early age attended Tate's Chapel U.M. Church, and was a faithful member of John Wesly U.M. Church until her illness. Mrs. Hunt was born in Greeneville,TN August 3, 1917 to Carl and Bertha Alums.

Mrs. Hunt was proceeded in death by her parents, Carl and Bertha Alums; children, Bertha, Carolyn and Lemuel Stokley; sister Evelyn Elder; and brothers, Charles, James and Robert Alums.

She leaves here 3 daughters, Brazil (Bunni) Dukes, Evelyn (Chris) Dave Brenton, and LaRue (Micki) Lyons all of Bristol, VA; 2 grandsons, James Dukes, Knoxville,TN and Andre' Dukes, Louisville,TN; 2 great-grandchildren Jamal and Makala Dukes, Knoxville,TN; great-nephew, Van (Rhonda) Elder of Afton, TN; special cousin, Lucy L. Johnson of Bristol, TN; and a host of family friends to numerous to name. Mama Fran will be missed by all who knew her.

A special thank-you to The Wellmont Hospice Staff, and James Robinson (R.N.) Dr. Steven Hanor, and Dr. Sandie Brown Gastroenterologist Abingdon, VA. Mrs. Hunt's body was donated to Restore Life.

Services for Mrs. Hunt will be conducted Saturday, February 3, 2018 from John Wesley U.M. Church at 6pm, Dr Robert Kariuki officiating. The family will receive friends from 5pm until the hour of service.
