Mr. Harry Blackman, son of the late Bertha Blackman and the late Biltmore Blackman was born on December 21, in Bronx, New York. His parents moved to Baltimore, MD in 1967. His family also includes a wife, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and 16 nieces and nephews. Harry Blackman was raised in Baltimore, MD in the Woodmoor community where he graduated from Milford Mill High School in 1982.
He began his adult life working at Bob Big Boys and Denny's to move on to be employed at Safeway where he met the love of his life in 1988 whom he married in 1989, Annette Watkins. Harry retired from Giants Food as an experienced meat cutter.
Harry had a love of comic books, wrestling, and collecting items for his online business, playing Words with Friends, cooking and his beloved Ravens. Harry believed he would be the next G. Garvin. Although he enjoyed those hobbies his true inspiration was being his family. He did not have any children however he became a surrogate father to each of his nieces and nephews. After his mothers’ passing, Harry became the family rock imparting insight and wisdom to all who sought or needed it. He was always known to be the last to speak and to speak with a calm voice.
Harry Blackman leaves to mourn his wife of 26 years Annette Blackman, 4 siblings: William Blackman(Laura Carey-Blackman), Eugene Blackman(Evette Blackman), Lillian Blackman, Nellie Blackman, 16 Nieces and Nephews: Alexander, Rashaad, Caleb, Keron, Dequan, Kahri, Jalyn, William(Shaun), Da'Shaye, Raven, Javen, Brittney, Natori, Ifetayo, Da'Maiya and Jada, 3 great nieces and nephews: Syaire, Sariyah, and Aria, a host of cousins and friends that loved and respected him.

Funeral services for Mr. Blackman will be at 3:00pm on Monday, January 11, 2016, at Shiloh Baptist Church with Reverend Calvert officiating. Family will receive friends from 2 until the hour of service.
