Ms. Evelyn Carol Feltner, 54, departed this life Saturday, November 28, 2020, at Ballad Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was born on December 24, 1965, in Greensboro, NC. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Leah Feltner; mother, Ada Brown; and father, James Brown. She will be loved and missed by her daughter, Kristina Feltner; sisters, Annette Oxendine and Rita Brown; and brother, Dale Brown. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
Betty Jean Sensabaugh Carter went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at the Cambridge House in Bristol, Tennessee after a lengthy illness. She was born September 9, 1933, in Clincho, VA to Henrietta and Brice Sensabaugh. She retired from Raytheon Company after several years of dedicated service. Betty was a member of Lee Street Baptist Church where she served in several capacities. Her life was a reflection of her love for the Lord and desire to serve others. He was an adamant chess player and best known by his nickname, The Panther. He will be remembered for his love of God, his calm nature, concern for his family and friends, and desire to help others. Sammy Campbell, 54, entered Heaven’s gates Saturday, November 21, 2020. He will be remembered for his smile, caring heart, extremely long stories, and never knowing a stranger. Born and raised in Bristol, Virginia, Sam graduated from Virginia High School and went to work in the tour bus industry for Yellow Coach Bus Lines for several years. The next twenty years he worked as a commercial driver for local hauling companies. In 2014, he retired from driving due to health issues. Eddie Lee “JJ” Jones of Greeneville, TN entered heavenly peace on Monday, November 9, 2020, after a brief illness while in the care of Life Care Center of Greeneville, TN. He was born in Rhoda, VA on September 26, 1947, to the late Nathan Jones and Mrs. Icey B. Jones. Eddie spent his early life in Rhoda before moving with his family to Kingsport, TN.
