John "Jeek" Sensabaugh, 73, passed on from his earthly football field and basketball court to continue his God given athletic ability to play on the winning team on Monday, August 28, 2017 after an extended illness of 17 years. Jeek was born in Stonega, VA. and moved to Kingsport at an early age. He graduated from Douglas High School and attended Livingstone College in Salisbury, NC. He was blessed with the ability to play football, basketball, and baseball and excelled in all of them. Jeek was a veteran of the United States Army, serving two tours in Vietnam. Ms. Laurene Hogans

Ms. Laurene Vivian Hogans was born in Bristol, Tennessee on December 12, 1948 to the late John Ed Hogans, II and Laura Mae Moore Hogans. She departed this life on August 21, 2017 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Laura Hogans. Laurene was a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church where she served several years as the treasurer for the United Methodist Women. She graduated from Tennessee High School in the integrated class and went on to receive her B.S. degree and Master’s degree from East Tennessee State University. Laurene was director of the Bristol Crisis Center for several years as well as an adjunct teacher for Virginia Intermont College and Virgin

Mr. John Fletcher Birchette, III

Mr. John Fletcher Birchette wen to be with the Lord Monday August 21, 2017. Fletcher was a pillar of his community and served Johnson City, TN and the surrounding area for many years. He always greeted others with a warm smile and a loving heart. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday August 26, 2017 at Thankful Baptist Church in Johnson City, TN. The family will receive friends from noon until the hour of service. Interment will follow at Washington County Memory Gardens.

Ms. Delores Jean Harold departed this life on June 15, 2017 in Nashville, Tennessee. Ms. Harold was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Jean Harold. To mourn her memory she leaves her son, Mark A. Harold; two daughters, Chasity L. Hall and Tonya A. Harold; two brothers, Charles Harrill and Len Harold (Yolanda); two sisters, Margaret Goodes (David) and Rowena King; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
