Miss Dorothy Lee Gudger of Bristol, Tennessee, departed this life Sunday, April 30, 2017. Dorothy was born June 16, 1931, in Bristol, Tennessee to Fred and Mary Kate Gudger. She attended Slater High School in Bristol, Tennessee. Dorothy retired from the Port Chester Nursing Home in Port Chester, New York. Dorothy lived in Port Chester, New York for many years and returned to Bristol upon her retirement. She brought a lively disposition to the lives of all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Fred and Mary Kate Gudger; brothers, Fred D. Gudger, Jessie C. Gudger, Benjamin Gudger, James W. Gudger, and Howard Gudger; and sister, Pauline Gudger Lyons. Ms. Varah Crawford

Varah Marie Brown Crawford was born August 17, 1953 in Bristol, VA and departed this life on April 21, 2017. She was the daughter of the late William and Mary Kate Brown. In her professional career she served as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Bristol Healthcare Center, where she was well known for her superb work ethic and sincere care of her patients. Varah was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She carried the love of God in her heart and shared it with all of those that she met. Varah loved being around her family and loved nurturing children and others. She was fondly known to many as “Mama Varah”. Varah is survived by two children, Nikki Crawford, Charlot

Mrs. Julie Bell Wilson

Mrs. Julie Bell Wilson departed this life in West Point, MS. She was the mother of Rev. Sis Linda Calvert (Dr. Kenneth Calvert, of Kingsport, TN's Shiloh Baptist Church. Funeral services for Mrs. Wilson will be conducted at noon Tuesday from Third Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 904 Moseley Ave, West Point, MS. Mr. Curtis Hutcherson

Mr. Curtis Lee Hutcherson, 54, a native of Kingsport, TN, passed away Friday March 31st, in Baltimore, Maryland, following a sudden illness. Curtis was a welder by trade. He enjoyed fishing, and he loved time with his dog Fee Fee, and grandchildren. Curtis is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Fletcher and Mrs. Linda Hutcherson, and a special loving aunt, Ms. Beulah Banner. Survivors include daughters, Ms. Latisha, Ms. Shiree, and Ms. Kristen Hutcherson; six grandchildren; a brother, Mr. Aaron (Rosalyn); a sister Ms. Angela (Sissy) Hutcherson; best friend and wife, Mrs. Patricia; special aunts and uncles; and several cousins in New York and New Jersey.
