Mrs. Lillian Underwood Leeper, 74, of Kingsport, TN went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 29, 2017. Mrs. Leeper enjoyed singing, spending time with others, working in her church, as well as with the youth, and traveling. She enjoyed going to nursing homes and different churches in the area to sing. She also started the Douglas Twirlettes and Little Miss Vision Pageant in 2004. She worked at North Electric Citizen Union Bank, First Community Bank, Walmart, Citi Group, and served as a substitute teacher for the Kingsport City and Hawkins County school system. Rev. Fred A. Matthews, age 72, of Morristown, formerly of Church Hill, and Bristol, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at his home. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Morristown. He retired after 35 years from Tennessee Eastman in Kingsport as a Chemical Engineer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Hazel Matthews; and his brother, John Matthews. Mrs. Barbara A. Clark-Odoms

Mrs. Barbara A.Clark-Odoms, departed this life Tuesday, March 8, 2017 at her home in Middletown, NY. Barbara was born in Saltville, Virginia. Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Odoms; her parents, Mrs. Nora H. Clark and Mitchell Clark; sister, Mrs. Blanche Wilson; and brother, Richard A. Clark Sr. Survivors include her only child, Ms. Pamela McLean; granddaughter Shadia E. McLean; and two grandsons, Joseph D. Humphrey and Jethro Chapman 3rd (Jethro). One brother, Mitchell O. Clark; two sisters, Mrs. Julia Lee (Marshall), and Mrs.Joyce Songui (Jude); as well as a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Mr. Andy Floyd Luther

Mr. Andy Floyd Luther departed this life March 2, 2017 at Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital and Medical Center. The family is in the process of making arrangements at this time.

Ms. India Releford

India K Releford 61, of Kingsport TN., went to be with the Lord March 1, 2017 after a brief illness. She is survived by her son Ronell Deadrick, three brothers Gary, Andre, and Michael; four sisters, Donna Kay, Jackie, Jeannie, and Charlotte; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00pm Monday March 6, 2017 at Central Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from noon until the hour of service. Burial will follow at Mitchell Crest Cemetery Rogersville, TN.
